What else you’ll need…

• 20 Litres of salted Reverse Osmosis (RO) water, at specific gravity (SG) 1.025. You can easily get this from two sources:
  • Local aquatic shops sell this water pre-mixed, it is not expensive, usually less than £5 for 20 litres. We have an aquatics shop finder here.
  • Caribsea Sea Pure Saltwater, which we sell online, but is a more expensive option.
• Your live jellyfish! We sell a wide range of different species.

We recommend to have the tank running for a minimum of a week in order to condition the water before introducing your jellyfish. However the Orbit 20’s relatively small size means your jellyfish should not be negatively affected by being introduced sooner.

Construction
The Orbit 20 is manufactured using only the highest quality parts, with a stunning acrylic exterior. The only moving part in the aquarium is the DC pump, which means the tank is almost completely silent while running. Jellyfish tanks manufactured by Cubic are hand crafted and so are built to higher standards than other manufacturers.

Filtration
The flow of water in the tank has been designed to keep your jellies away from water outlets, while the excellent filtration system ensures water quality remains as high as possible, to keep your jellyfish healthy. The outer ring of the tank is used to store all of the filtration equipment. The water initially goes through a sponge particle filter to clear water of any debris, ensuring water quality. A highly porous, ceramic bio media is then the next step for the water, where any unwanted chemicals are broken down and removed before the water enters your tank. All of this design allows for brilliant water quality while offering ultra-quiet running.

Lighting
One of the most talked about features of the Orbit 20 is the colour changing LEDs. With an Infra Red remote, it’s easy to quickly change colours on the fly. There are additional modes too – the tank can scroll through colours, and brightness level can also be adjusted. The lighting can also be switched off if you wish.

Maintenance

The Orbit 20 is designed to be quick and easy for anyone to set up, with minimal maintenance required on a day to day basis. It’s designed for someone who wants to own jellyfish for the first time. A quick guide to maintenance is shown below:
